Help Shape Alexandria’s Future: Strategic Plan FY 2017-2022

Learn about the process for developing the Fiscal Year (FY) 2017-2022 Strategic Plan and how you can get involved.

Imagine the year 2022 in Alexandria. Imagine how you work, how you play, and how you experience your community. How do you get around? Where do you spend your time? What has changed? What has stayed the same? The City of Alexandria needs your help to create our next strategic plan.

The FY 2017-2022 City Strategic Plan is an opportunity for City Council to work with members of the community to establish the City’s strategic direction and priorities for the coming years. Throughout this planning process, the community will have several opportunities to participate and provide feedback in-person and online, including the following:

·         AlexEngage – What matters most to you about Alexandria? Join the conversation and provide your input online through Sunday, March 20. Comments received will inform the development of the draft FY 2017-2022 City Strategic Plan to be presented to Council in the fall of 2016.

·         Visioning Meeting – Monday, March 14, at 7 p.m., in the T.C. Williams High School Cafeteria, 3330 King St.  Join your neighbors and City officials at this community meeting to kick off the City Strategic planning process. Childcare will be provided. Interpretation for Spanish speakers is available upon request by contacting Graciela Moreno at 703.746.3808 at least one week before the meeting date.
